BCP Homes sheltered housing, independent senior living and extra care standards

If you live in one of our sheltered housing, independent senior living or extra care schemes, then we will:

  • meet with you when you first move into your new home to provide information about the scheme and the services that we provide
  • collect and record personal information from you on the day you sign up to include emergency contacts and support needs
  • complete a settling in visit with you within 6 weeks of you moving into your new home
  • visit you once a year to carry out an assessment and review of your needs, property and tenancy
  • hold regular meetings on all schemes with communal meetings rooms so that you can voice your concerns, share ideas and stay updated on community developments
  • provide you with access to a 24-hour emergency alarm service
  • test your emergency alarm annually

We will measure our performance by reporting on:

  • percentage of tenants’ personal information collected within 5 working days of moving in
  • percentage of annual reviews carried out when due
  • number of meetings held on each scheme
  • percentage of emergency alarm tests carried out when due
