When it comes to your council home rent, we will:

• offer you a range of ways to pay your rent
• give you at least 28 days’ notice of any changes to your rent or service charges
• consult you if we intend to introduce new services that we will charge you for
• contact you within 10 days if you fall behind with your rent
• discuss reasonable repayment arrangements with you if you owe rent
• offer help and advice on debts and benefits from our money advice team
• refer you to specialist debt advice services if required
• minimise evictions due to rent arrears

We will measure our performance by reporting on:

• cases referred to our money advice team and additional income achieved for tenants
• number of evictions due to rent arrears
