BCP Homes antisocial behaviour standards
You can contact us if the behaviour of your neighbours or other people in your local area are causing nuisance or annoyance to you. When you do, we will:
- carry out an initial risk assessment when you contact us
- tell you how we are going to deal with your report and agree the next steps including if we are going to deal with the these through our antisocial behaviour policy or good neighbourhood policy
- pass your details to an antisocial behaviour officer or housing officer who will contact you within:
- 24 working hours if you report a hate incident, violence or threats of violence or where the impact on your wellbeing has been initially assessed as high
- 5 working days for other antisocial behaviour
- 10 working days for environmental antisocial behaviour such as dog fouling, littering or fly-tipping
- 10 working days for disputes over parking, DIY and children playing
- carry out a full risk assessment to assess if you are vulnerable and work in partnership with other parts of the council and other organisations such as the police to ensure that you have the right support in place
- use a range of tools and powers for effective early intervention to help deal with anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes, for example injunctions and mediation services
We will measure our performance by reporting on:
- reports involving hate incidents, violence or threats of violence responded to within 24 working hours
- reports of antisocial behaviour cases responded to within 5 working days
- residents satisfied with our response to dealing with antisocial behaviour
- the number and types of legal remedies taken to deal with antisocial behaviour
