BCP Homes neighbourhood management standards

To ensure that our neighbourhoods are safe, clean and tidy we will: 

  • inspect the communal areas of our blocks of flats at least 4 times a year 
  • inspect the communal areas of our high-rise blocks daily
  • clean internal communal areas:
    • every 20 days for general needs flats 
    • every 2 weeks for sheltered housing flats 
    • weekly for high-rise blocks
  • carry out work to communal gardens once a month
  • carry out at least one annual neighbourhood inspection for each area
  • remove fly tipping within 48 hours
  • remove any items affecting health and safety or which are hazardous within 12 hours
  • provide an out of hours cleaning service and respond to issues with 2 hours
  • remove needles and biohazards (for example, blood) from communal areas within 12 hours

We will measure our performance by reporting on:

  • flat block inspections completed on time
  • internal communal areas cleaned on time
  • fly-tipping requests dealt with within 48 hours
  • items affecting health and safety and hazardous items removed within 12 hours
  • removal of needles and biohazards within 12 hours
