BCP Homes neighbourhood management standards
To ensure that our neighbourhoods are safe, clean and tidy we will:
- inspect the communal areas of our blocks of flats at least 4 times a year
- inspect the communal areas of our high-rise blocks daily
- clean internal communal areas:
- every 20 days for general needs flats
- every 2 weeks for sheltered housing flats
- weekly for high-rise blocks
- carry out work to communal gardens once a month
- carry out at least one annual neighbourhood inspection for each area
- remove fly tipping within 48 hours
- remove any items affecting health and safety or which are hazardous within 12 hours
- provide an out of hours cleaning service and respond to issues with 2 hours
- remove needles and biohazards (for example, blood) from communal areas within 12 hours
We will measure our performance by reporting on:
- flat block inspections completed on time
- internal communal areas cleaned on time
- fly-tipping requests dealt with within 48 hours
- items affecting health and safety and hazardous items removed within 12 hours
- removal of needles and biohazards within 12 hours
