Become a resident member of our BCP Homes advisory board
The advisory board is a group that represents tenants and leaseholders and meets at least 4 times a year.
Its role is to support us to meet legal and regulatory requirements and objectives. It helps to shape and influence housing services, ensuring they meet the needs of residents.
Key aspects of the BCP Homes advisory board are:
- purpose: the board acts on behalf of the council in relation to its duties as a social landlord
- membership: the board consists of 11 members: 4 independent members, 4 residents and 3 elected members of the council
- role of residents: residents on the board are expected to voice the needs and rights of tenants, share their experiences, and help shape services
The board is part of a wider discussion about the housing management model and how services are delivered. The council also has an overview and scrutiny committee that scrutinizes reports and makes recommendations to its cabinet.
