The advisory board is a group that represents tenants and leaseholders and meets at least 4 times a year.

Its role is to support us to meet legal and regulatory requirements and objectives. It helps to shape and influence housing services, ensuring they meet the needs of residents.

• membership: the board consists of 11 members: 4 independent members, 4 residents and 3 elected members of the council
• role of residents: residents on the board are expected to voice the needs and rights of tenants, share their experiences, and help shape services

The board is part of a wider discussion about the housing management model and how services are delivered. The council also has an overview and scrutiny committee that scrutinizes reports and makes recommendations to its cabinet.
