Apply to get involved with Pride in Place in Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor

If you live in Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor you can apply to help shape how Pride in Place investment is used in your area. You can apply to:

  • be the independent chair of a Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board
  • join a Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board as a member

How to apply

To express an interest to become the independent chair or a board member of the Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board you can send us an email, video or voice note to prideinplace@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

Instructions on what to include can be found in our expression of interest form.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2026.

Paper copies of the expression of interest form will also be available at:

  • Hamworthy Library
  • Turlin Moor Family Hub

You can also submit your completed forms to collection boxes at these locations.

Support will also be available at weekly drop-in sessions at St Gabriel’s Church every Tuesday between 9 June and 30 June.

Who can apply for the roles

We are looking for community‑minded people who care about their local area. You might be:

  • a charity or faith leader
  • an educator
  • a health professional
  • a local campaigner
  • a resident with a strong interest in your community

You do not need previous board experience. Training will be provided, but local knowledge is essential. If you want to influence how up to £20 million is invested to improve your area, you can apply now.

What happens next

The panel will use the expression of interest forms to shortlist applicants and invite selected candidates to take part in the next stage of the process. Support and alternative ways to take part will be available throughout to ensure the process is as accessible and inclusive as possible.

Appointment of the chair

Interviews for the role of chair will take place on 21 and 24 July.

The chair appointment panel will sit on 27 July.

Appointment of the board

Interviews for board members will take place on 24 August.

The board will be appointed by 27 August.
