Apply to join a Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board

To apply to join our Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board email prideinplace@bcpcouncil.gov.uk setting out your expression of interest and why you should sit on the board.

The deadline for applications is 10 July 2026.

Who can apply for the roles

We are looking for community‑minded people who care about their local area. You might be:

  • a charity or faith leader
  • an educator
  • a health professional
  • a local campaigner
  • a resident with a strong interest in your community

You do not need previous board experience. Training will be provided, but local knowledge is essential. If you want to influence how up to £20 million is invested to improve your area, you can apply now.

What happens next

Appointment of the chair

Applications must be submitted by 10 July.

Interviews for the role of chair will take place from 20 July to 24 July.

The appointment will be made between the 27 July and 31 July with the chair being mobilised by 3 August.

Appointment of the board

The selection process for the 12 board members will take place from 10 August to 21 August. This will include anyone shortlisted for the role of chair including the ward councillor and statutory agencies.

The board will be appointed and announced before the 27 August.
