There has been vandalism to our buildings in the Constitution Hill site including:

• arson attacks
• removal roof coverings
• stealing lead
• brickwork damage

Broughton House safety issues and demolition

In February 2023 there were arson attacks on Broughton House. As a result we deemed Broughton House to be structurally unsafe and was demolished after submitting a Section 80.

Lady Russel Cotes House safety issues

In June 2023, there were arson attacks on Lady Russell Cotes House. Fire damaged the main staircase and an internal supporting wall. This building is now unsafe.

Our response to the vandalism at Constitution Hill

We have introduced on-site security and repeatedly fenced the boundary.

However, regular anti-social behaviour incidents are occurring on site with trespassers breaking in and continuing to vandalise the site on a weekly basis.
