Bikeability holiday courses

We run a range of holiday courses throughout the year.

Dates for our October half term holiday courses are now available. Make sure you read all of the information and choose the correct course for your child.

October half term 2026

We are running the following holiday courses in the October half term holidays:

Level 1 and Level 2 combined course for children aged 9 and above - children complete both levels, including Level 2 on residential roads, so they must be aged 9 or over
Level 3 for children aged 11 and above - this is an advanced course, most children are not ready for it straight after their Level 1 and 2 course and will need a bit more practise, contact us if you would like further information clarification

Course locations

The holiday courses are only taking place at Slades Park Pavilion this half term.

Booking a place

You can book the course you want using the online booking system. You must make sure you select the correct course for your child's age.

If you book onto the wrong course, we will have to cancel your booking and you will then need to book on a different course as we are unable to move your booking. This may mean that you will miss out on a place if the other course is fully booked.

Level 1 and 2 combined course for ages 9 and above

This course takes place at Slades Park Pavilion.

After booking a course, you will receive an automated confirmation with basic details. We will then send you a further confirmation with all the information you need about the course.

We are a small team, so it may take us a little longer to send your full booking confirmation. We aim to check the system daily, but this may not always be possible.

If you have received an automated booking confirmation, your place on the course has been confirmed.

If the course you want is fully booked, you can join the waiting list. If a space becomes available, we will offer it to the next person on the list on a first come, first served basis.

Further course dates

We will be offering further courses during the February half term. If these dates are not convenient, email bikeability@bcpcouncil.gov.uk to join the waiting list.

If you are already on the waiting list, you do not need to email us. We will send you an email with the new course dates in the new year.

Bikeability instructors

Our instructors are all fully qualified to the national standard, DBS checked and trained in first aid. They also receive regular safeguarding training.
