Bikeability holiday courses
We are running the following courses over the summer holidays:
- Learn to ride for children aged 4 and over (children are grouped into ages 4 to 6 and 7 plus)
- Level 1 and Level 2 combined course for children aged 9 and over (children complete both levels, including riding on residential roads)
- Level 3 for children aged 11 and over (this is an advanced course and most children need more practice after level 1 and 2 before taking part – contact us if you need more information)

Make sure you choose the correct course for your child’s age.
If you book the wrong course, we will cancel your booking. You will then need to book onto a different course. We cannot move bookings because of limitations in the booking system. This may mean you miss out on a place if other courses are full.

After you book
You will receive an automatic booking confirmation email from the system. This email has limited information about the course.
We will then send a second confirmation email with full course details.
We are a small team, so there may be a short delay before you receive this. If you have received the automatic confirmation, your place is booked.
Waiting lists
If a course is full, you can join the waiting list.
If a place becomes available, we will email everyone on the waiting list and offer the place. This is done on a first come, first served basis. Check your emails regularly so you can respond quickly.
If these dates are not suitable, email Bikeability@bcpcouncil.gov.uk to join the waiting list.
If you are already on the waiting list, you do not need to contact us again. You will automatically receive details of future courses.
Bikeability instructors
Our instructors are all fully qualified to the national standard, DBS checked and trained in first aid. They also receive regular safeguarding training.
