Overview
For an organisation to be eligible for a Blue Badge, it must care for and transport disabled people and meet all of the following criteria.
The organisation must:
- be responsible for the ongoing care of disabled people
- transport people directly, not through a third‑party contractor
- use vehicles that are solely or mainly for transporting disabled passengers
- transport people who would meet the eligibility criteria for an individual Blue Badge
- use adapted vehicles suitable for disabled passengers
- be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- have a clear need for an organisational badge rather than individual badges
- use vehicles with tax class DPV or NHSV
You will be asked to provide evidence that the organisation meets the criteria when you apply.
