Residents across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole can now apply for the 2026 garden waste collection service, which runs from 26 January to 11 December 2026.
The annual service costs £71 per bin and includes fortnightly collections of garden waste such as grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, and small branches.
You can apply for the garden waste service or renew your registration from 14 October 2025 via the BCP Council website.
Register by 31 December 2025 to ensure you receive all 23 collections for the 2026 service.
If you apply or renew before 31 December, your bin and any extra bins you have ordered will be delivered before the start of the 2026 garden waste service.
Our collection crews will have an electronic record of all registrations and will only collect from those addresses, therefore you will not need a sticker for your bin this year.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, our 2026 garden waste calendars will be available online. You can check your collection day online and download a calendar of your collection dates for the year.

You can use your garden waste bin for:

Cllr Andy Hadley, Portfolio Holder for Environment, said: “Our garden waste service continues to be a popular and valued offering for residents across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, turning waste into useful compost.
“Over the past year, we collected over 12,000 tonnes of garden waste, helping to divert valuable organic material from landfill and support our sustainability goals.
“By making calendars available online and removing the need for bin stickers, we’re streamlining the service while reducing waste. I encourage everyone to renew early and make the most of this convenient, eco-friendly collection."
