Report an unlicensed house in multiple occupation (HMO)
A licensable house in multiple occupation (HMO) is a property with 5 or more people who form 2 or more households. They could be living in separate rooms but share facilities, such as a kitchen or bathroom.
How to report an unlicensed HMO
Before you report an unlicensed HMO to us, check if the property is listed on our licensed HMO register.
If the property is not on the register and you have evidence that it is occupied by 5 or more people that are not related, you can report it to us by email to privatesector.housing@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
