We investigate the following types of fraud:

• Council Tax
• blue badge
• housing
• business rates
• social care
• council employee and contractor/supplier
• grant claim - where individuals or organisations provide false information to obtain grant money they are not eligible for or do not spend the grant money for the reasons it was provided
• insurance - where somebody lies about what has happened and makes a dishonest claim against the council to try to get a pay-out or compensation

We do not investigate benefit fraud.

How to report other types of fraud

You can contact us of any concerns you have where you suspect fraud has been committed, by completing our fraud report form.

You are able to report fraud anonymously.

However, in most cases it would be helpful if you could leave your contact details, so that we can contact you for further information should we need it.

If we do need to share information that you’ve provided to us, will we contact you for your consent.
