Regeneration programme
The delivery of a new town centre regeneration programme is intended to:
- achieve a transformational impact
- create a people focused environment where people want to live
- improve connectivity and promote sustainable transport options
- secure economic benefits
- act as a catalyst for wider private sector investment
- celebrate and enhance Poole's heritage
- promote Poole as a cultural and visitor destination
Funding
We continue to work on attracting external government grant funding to support delivery of regeneration in Poole. As a result, we are rapidly progressing plans around a:
- Heritage Action Zone programme
- National Lottery Heritage fund programme for Poole Museum
- Future High Streets Fund bid
The programmes and projects within the town are being delivered at different times and via different sources of funding. All these programmes sit under the overarching vision for Poole's future. Over the coming months, we will be consulting further on emerging projects under Poole regeneration.
