Lunch'd Ltd

  • Diagnostic completed: High Growth
  • Grant awarded: £2,500
  • Match-funding: £2,500
  • Grant type: Growth

Lunch’d was founded by Oli Perron in 2014 from his flat and now rents big hotel kitchens to make tasty, healthy food for Dorset offices, meetings and events. The business has made over 95,000 lunches and continue to make, from scratch, tasty, healthy food supporting local producers wherever possible. Lunch’d won a Dorset Food & Drink Award in 2018 for their Grab N Go event boxes.

Now with a thriving event business, Lunch’d is looking to trade from a café or commercial kitchen of its own as an alternative to renting. To help it reach its growth ambitions, the business applied for a match-funded UKSPF grant in April 2023 to contribute towards:

  • paid SEO and Google Ad spend with the help of an agency
  • AddtoEvent.co.uk budget spend
  • new refrigerated vehicle for larger events.

Oli Perron, founder and director of Lunch’d Ltd, said "The process was really simple. After registering the business on the council’s website I was given a short High Growth survey to complete and then discussed the results with their scheme partners, Evolve. I then became eligible to submit my proposal for a grant and am delighted to have been awarded. Thank you BCP!"
