Cancel your care

You have the right to cancel the care we provide or have arranged for you if you feel that you no longer need or want it. 

If you are thinking of cancelling your current support because it is not working well for you, we recommend that you speak to relatives, friends or your social care practitioner first to explore other options.

If you decide to cancel, we cannot guarantee that the same care package will be available if you change your mind or ask for support again in future. However, we would try to provide care that matches as closely as possible to your previous arrangement.

What happens when you cancel

Once we receive your cancellation request, we will contact you to discuss the next steps.

You will need to keep paying for your care for up to 4 weeks after we confirm that your care package has been cancelled, depending on the contractual notice periods we have with your provider.
