Adult social care comments, compliments and complaints

Your views and ideas help us to improve our services so let us know what we're doing well, and what we need to do better.

If you have a comment, compliment or complaint about our Adult Social Care services, tell the people who provide the service directly. You can ask a friend or relative to do this for you if you prefer.

Comments and compliments

If you tell us you have received particularly good service we will pass this onto the relevant staff or team. If you have made a comment or suggestion, we will use this to improve services in the future.

Complaints

If you make a complaint, we will:

  • acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days
  • discuss what you would like to happen and agree on a plan of how we will deal with your complaint
  • tell you how long we expect to take to respond and keep you updated on how the complaint is progressing

If you are unhappy with the outcome of your complaint

If after our final response, we are unable to resolve your complaint, you can refer it to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman who is entirely independent of us.
