An outcome of our Community Governance Review may be that we introduce new parish or town councils. Whilst we are unable to work out the exact cost of this we are able to use existing parish and town council costs to make an estimate.

Estimated changes to your Council Tax

We currently spend about 1% of all Council Tax on parish councils.

If you are within Band D during 2024/2025 your Council Tax will have contributed:

• £2.27 to Bournemouth Charter Trustees
• £17.25 to Burton and Winkton Parish Council
• £70.23 to Christchurch Town Council
• £27.46 to Highcliffe and Walkford Parish Council
• £33.55 to Hurn Parish Council
• £2.14 to Poole Charter Trustees
• £39.81 to Throop and Holdenhurst Parish Council
