Community Governance Review consultation
Consultation closed
This consultation opened on 31 March 2025 and closed on 22 June 2025.
We consulted on draft proposals to create new parish, town and community councils across Bournemouth and Poole and to make some small changes to the existing town and parish arrangements in Christchurch.
There are currently 4 parish councils and one town council that focus on local priorities, projects, and activities such as:
- improving parks
- greenspaces
- managing car parks
- managing community centres
- providing street furniture
- Christmas decorations
- community events and entertainment
