- there is a £4 charge for each set of 10 books or a £40 annual subscription charge for up to one set per month for the period April 2026 to March 2027
- the annual subscription charge is non-refundable
- reading groups using a group card may only request titles from the current reading groups list
- groups can borrow up to one set per month
- each reading group set consists of 10 copies of standard print books, with a large print and audio book available for some titles
- if additional copies are required, they should be requested by individual members on their personal tickets
- reading group sets must be returned to a BCP library
- each reading group set is loaned to the group for 8 weeks. Renewals are not normally permitted; however, in exceptional circumstances one renewal may be granted at the library’s discretion
- standard overdue charges apply for late returns
- the designated group contact is responsible for items on loan; if one or more books are lost or damaged the group will be charged for new copies
- we will make every effort to supply titles from your selection but cannot guarantee they will be available; if not, we will supply an alternative
