Age Concern Christchurch offers a door to door minibus service for 2 of its Age Concern Christchurch Friendship Groups. All people over the age of 60 living in the Christchurch area are eligible to use the services they offer.
They also offer shopping trips to Sainsbury's in Somerford using a 12 seat minibus with tailgate lift to assist people with wheelchairs.
The minibus service goes to:
- Somerford Friendship Group on Monday afternoons
- Sainsbury's on Thursdays
- Sainsbury's from Mudeford and Burton areas on Friday mornings
- Burton Friendship Group on Friday afternoons
Costs
Day trips and private bookings can be made depending on availability.
The cost of the service is:
- £6 for each return trip to Age Concern Christchurch Friendship Group
- £6 for return shopping trips
Day trips also take place during the year (usually one each month) at a charge of £7 for transport plus any venue charges.
Private bookings depend on distance.
