Residential disabled parking bays consultation (reference P121)

We proposed Traffic Regulation Order changes to create new residential disabled parking bays and to make changes to some existing residential disabled parking bays.

We asked for comment using our interactive map and also accepted views in writing.

The deposit document contains the formal details required for public consultation on changes to parking restrictions.

A decision has been made about which proposals are to go ahead. This is explained in the Officer Decision Record. That includes a summary of points raised during the consultation and our responses to these.

The Traffic Regulation Order was sealed on Thursday 22 January 2026 and is effective from Monday 2 February 2026. It was formally advertised on Friday 30 January 2026 via a Notice of Making. The decision was published to coincide with the Notice of Making. Grounds for appeal can be found in the Notice of Making.
