Our proposal for a School Street trial on Hadow Road outside The Bourne Academy and Kingsleigh Primary School
We've used an Experimental Traffic Order to trial a restriction on motor vehicles at the start and end of the school day. This trial began on Monday 14 October 2024 for an an initial 6 month consultation period. The trial can be in place for up to 18 months.
The restriction times were modified on 4 August 2025 and the trial was open for comment for a further 6 months. We asked for comments in writing by email or post.
All feedback and consultation responses have been considered and a decision has been made to make the motor vehicle restriction permanent. The reasons for the decision can be found in the Officer Decision Record.
