Bennion Road and Ibbett Road Experimental Traffic Order consultation (reference E1 2026)

Our proposal for a trial of a one-way street and other traffic measures in the vicinity of The Bourne Academy and Kingsleigh Primary School

We are using an Experimental Traffic Order to trial a number of measures to improve safety for children travelling to school and to alleviate congestion issues. The trial begins on Thursday 3 September 2026 for an initial 6 month consultation period. The trial can be in place for up to 18 months. The measures include:

• a one-way street except cycles north to south along Bennion Road and Ibbett Road
• a 20mph speed limit zone to include Hadow Rd, Bennion Rd, Ibbett Road and Pavan Gardens
• timed no waiting and no loading on Hadow Road (north side)
• timed disabled parking bays in Hadow Road and Pavan Gardens (north side)
• extended waiting restrictions on Kingswell Road from the junction with Kinson Road, and new waiting restrictions at the junctions of Kingswell Road with Adamsfield Gardens, Kingswell Grove, Kingswell Gardens, and Glenville Road. Waiting restrictions are also extended at the Kinson Road/Caroline Road junction
• loading restrictions at the junction of Ibbett Road and Kingswell Road
