Planning advice note

When you submit a planning application, you may need to include additional information to help us assess your application. Our planning advice note tells you what information to provide for each type of application.

Validation checklists

Validation checklists tell you what information you may need to send us in order for us to validate and assess your planning application.

If you're not sure which checklist you need, you should find the application you need on the Planning Portal. You should use the checklist with the same name.


We have been reviewing our planning advice note and validation checklists and are proposing to make changes to what information we may need and when we will need the information in order to validate and assess your planning application.

We are holding a consultation period from 1 July 2022 to 31 July 2022 where you can get in touch with your feedback.
