There are occasional guided walks throughout the year at Iford Meadows.
Useful information
This site next to the River Stour is an excellent place to spot birds and other wildlife. The habitat is mainly grassland and scrub, which has a remarkable 150 different types of flowering plants.
We use livestock grazing to help us manage the site, and you can usually spot our cattle between September and April. Please keep dogs under close control when passing these animals.
As the site is mainly grassland the ground can be muddy and uneven, so it’s not suitable for wheelchairs.
Make sure you follow the rules in our nature reserves.
