Report Blue Badge misuse

If you suspect someone is misusing a Blue Badge, you can report it to us.

Before you report misuse to us, it's important to know that:

  • the badge is issued to a person, and can be used in any vehicle they travel in
  • badge holders do not always have a physical disability, they may hold a badge due to severe behavioural problems, which makes it unsafe for them to walk long distances
  • badge holders can be any age
  • some badge holders have been given a badge because they are terminally ill, and their mobility is expected to get worse

How to report suspected misuse

You can report the misuse of a Blue Badge to us online.

We will need as much information as possible, including:

  • the name of the badge holder
  • the badge serial number
  • times and locations the misuse takes place
  • vehicle details (such as model, make and colour)
  • a description of the person using the badge

If you want to upload any evidence, such as social media screenshots or short video footage, this may be used in court proceedings.
