Current statutory public notices of our proposed plans can be found below.

Land at Mudeford Wood, located south of Somerford Road, Christchurch, Dorset

We are proposing to enter into a deed of easement to grant the right to discharge rainwater from neighbouring land in Somerford Road into the River Mude.

This only affects a very small section of the Council’s land at Mudeford Wood. The pipework and point of discharge will be in the northern part of Mudeford Wood just south of Somerford Road, Christchurch, Dorset

Only rights are being granted and ownership of the land will not change. We will therefore remain the owner of Mudeford Wood.

Splashpark and other open space at Christchurch Quay - disposal to Christchurch Town Council

The proposal is to transfer the Splash Park and a small grassed area to Christchurch Town Council, which adjoins land which is already owned by it. This will enable the Town Council to take over the management and operation of the Splash Park in the future. The catering kiosk site on the grassed area will be leased back to BCP Council to enable the current provision to continue.

Representations or objections to the proposal must made by Wednesday 8 May 2024. These can be submitted:

  • in writing to the Director of Environment, BCP Council, BCP Council Civic Centre, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 6DY.
  • by email to estates@bcpcouncil.gov.uk

You can look at the full notice for the disposal at Christchurch Quay, as well as a map of the Splashpark and concession area.
