Thousands of students across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) are celebrating today as they receive their A-Level, vocational, and T Level results - a significant milestone in their educational journeys.

From early this morning, sixth forms and colleges across the area have been buzzing with excitement as students collect their results and begin planning their next steps, whether that’s university, apprenticeships, training, or entering the world of work.

Councillor Richard Burton, Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People, Education and Skills at BCP Council, said: “A huge congratulations to everyone receiving results today. This is a moment to be proud of, a reflection of your hard work, resilience, and commitment.

“We also want to recognise the incredible support from teachers, lecturers, and school staff who have guided and encouraged our young people every step of the way. Their dedication continues to make a lasting difference.”

Cathi Hadley, Corporate Director for Children's Services at BCP Council, said: “Whatever today’s results look like, every student deserves huge credit for getting to this point.

“For those feeling unsure or disappointed today, there is support and guidance out there, and different ways to move forward. These results are just one part of your journey, not the whole story."

For students unsure about what to do next, whether their results were better or worse than expected, the first point of contact should be their sixth form or college.

BCP Council wishes all students the very best as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.
