The Regulator of Social Housing is the organisation that is responsible for regulating housing associations and councils that provide social housing.
One of the ways in which the Regulator does this is through a set of regulatory standards. One of these is the Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM’s) Standard which requires all social landlords to collect and provide information to show how they are performing.
What are the Tenant Satisfaction Measures?
There are two types of TSM’s. One set will require us to collect and provide information to show how we are performing in keeping our homes and tenants safe.
The other will require us to carry out a survey of tenants to see how satisfied they are with the services that we provide. This will include satisfaction with repairs, complaint handling, dealing with anti-social behaviour and listening to tenants’ views. We have commissioned an external organisation, Darmax Research, to help us carry out the survey.
Taking part in the survey
During October until the end of November, Darmax Research will select some of our tenants who will receive a call, email or letter inviting them to take part in a 10-minute survey about their experiences of BCP Homes and its services. This feedback will help us understand where we need to make improvements.
Tenants who take part in the survey will be eligible for entry into a prize draw with the chance to win a £50 shopping voucher.
Results
We will have collected all our data for the TSM’s by April next year. In the summer we will send the results to the Regulator and publish them for tenants to see.
