Councillor Millie Earl, the Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, will answer questions from residents during a live Question and Answer (Q&A) session.
The Q&A will cover two topics; summer readiness and the Community Governance Review.
The event will be broadcast on BCP Council’s social media channels from 12.15pm on Tuesday 17 June.
The Leader will be joined in the first half of the session by Councillor Richard Herrett, Cabinet Member for Destination, Leisure and Commercial Operations to discuss preparations for a busy and safe summer season.
The BCP area welcomes an estimated 13 million visitors each year, making it one of the busiest commercial seafronts in the UK.
Council Leader, Millie Earl, said: “Our beaches and outdoor spaces are a top choice for visitors and residents alike. While our seafront teams are experienced in managing the influx of people in sunny weather, we are working with our partners to encourage people to respect, protect, and enjoy what the area has to offer.
“I am looking forward to sharing with residents all the hard work that’s already going on behind the scenes to make this summer as safe and enjoyable as we can.”
The second half of the Q&A will focus on the Community Governance Review, the Council’s draft proposals to create new parish, town and community councils across Bournemouth and Poole, and to make some small changes to the existing town and parish arrangements in Christchurch.
BCP Council’s Head of Democratic Services, Richard Jones will join Cllr Earl at around 12.45pm to help answer your questions on the Community Governance Review.
Cllr Earl added: “I am very passionate about grass roots democracy and giving communities a greater say in the decisions that affect their area. The people of BCP know their area best and local knowledge and experience is vital - we want to hear what works for them.”
There will be an opportunity for people to ask questions both in advance of the session and during the Q&A via the comments section. As many questions as possible will be answered during the session.
The session will be broadcast across the council’s main social media channels including on youtube.com/bcpcouncil and is available to watch later for those unable to tune in live.
