GCSE and Level 2 students will receive their results today, Thursday 24 August 2023.

The Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, Councillor Vikki Slade, said:

"Whether you are staying at school or relishing the opportunity to move onto college, training, or to an apprenticeship this is a really exciting time. I hope all your hard work is rewarded with the results that you want and that you can start the next phase in September excited for the future".

Councillor Richard Burton, BCP Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, said:

"It’s an exciting day for so many young people today, and I would like to join in with the chorus of congratulations that they will no doubt all receive from their friends and family.

"I would also like to extend my thanks to all our schools that have taught and supported our pupils. Our educational workforce do so much to prepare our young people for their future as young adults. This is a day of celebration for our schools as well."

Cathi Hadley, BCP Council’s Corporate Director for Children's Services, said:

"I would like to echo the absolute praise that every one of the students deserves for their hard work and dedication to gain the grades they receive today. We know it has been tough at times but you made it and you should feel proud of yourselves.

"Whatever you plan to do next, whether it is sixth form, college, an apprenticeship or training, you are on to the next stage. Well done!"
