Students who have attended schools and colleges in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area will receive their A Level, Applied General, Technical and T level results today.

The Leader of BCP Council, Councillor Vikki Slade, said:

"This is a time of real anticipation for so many students, and their families including my own; and marks the end of formal education. I wish everyone good luck for their results and for the next chapter of their lives."

Councillor Richard Burton, BCP Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, said:

"I would like to congratulate all pupils in the BCP Council area on their hard work and the grades they will receive today."

"This year has seen exams and assessments in England returned to pre-pandemic arrangements. Even so, we must acknowledge that the students taking their exams in 2023 had to learn under the shadow of the pandemic. They have all done fantastically well to get through this once-in-a-lifetime event, and they should be very proud of their achievements. I wish them all the best of luck as they go on to their next challenge.

"I would also like to thank our teachers and lecturers who work so hard supporting young people through their educational journey."

Cathi Hadley, BCP Council’s Corporate Director for Children's Services, said

"I am very proud of all our students today and all that they have achieved. There will be many students who are happy with their results but there will also be some who are disappointed because they haven’t got the grades they expected, even if they have done well.

"For help, support and guidance, students should contact their education setting to help them make decisions about their next steps. There are always lots of other options available if their first choice is in doubt today."
