Councillor Andy Hadley BCP Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Response, Environment and Energy, said;
“The picture on the Lower Stour and at Iford Bridge Home Park is improving.
“Flood water has receded and the Environment Agency’s flood warning for the area is no longer in force.
“Electricity has been restored to properties at the park, and residents have been reassured that it’s safe for them to return to their homes. Council officers have been on site this morning to continue helping, as people start to move back in.
“Our waste service team are visiting tomorrow (Friday) with additional resource to help collect and dispose of waste as homeowners start to clean up after these floods.
"I’d like to reiterate my appreciation to the emergency services, Environment Agency, our council officers and especially the volunteers who have all worked around-the-clock to aid the residents of Iford Bridge Home Park.”
