GCSE and Level 2 students who have attended schools and colleges in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole will receive their results today, Thursday 25 August 2022

Year 11 pupils are the first level 2 cohort to take externally moderated exams since 2019. Pupils receiving their exam results today have overcome many challenges in the last 2 years, including having had to negotiate lockdowns, and periods of self-isolation which impacted on their Key Stage 4 programme of studies.

Councillor Nicola Greene, BCP Council’s Portfolio holder for Education, said:

"Today marks a huge achievement by pupils and schools across the BCP area. I would like to congratulate all pupils in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole for completing their GCSE and Level 2 courses this year and I would like to thank teachers and school leaders for all their work in teaching, supporting, and guiding their pupils. Year 11 and their teachers have shown incredible resilience and fortitude. I wish all pupils receiving their grades today well. I am proud of your determination and have no doubt you will achieve much success in the future".

Cathi Hadley, BCP Council’sCorporate Director for Children's Services, said:

"I know there will be lots of celebrations across our education system today as pupils receive their GCSE and applied Level 2 exam results. Council teams, schools and the college stand ready to support students that have questions about their best next steps. It is not too late to explore and apply for an education programme, an apprenticeship or training scheme. Whichever post 16 pathways pupils embark on next, I wish them all the very best of luck".
