The Special Planning Committee meeting today was due to discuss the Land Between the Bridges application (APP/18/00750/F) from 2pm.

At the commencement of the meeting this morning, Committee Chair, Cllr David Kelsey, proposed that the item be withdrawn from today’s agenda. The application will now be heard at a later date. This will allow officers time to seek clarification on outstanding matters relating to the position of two statutory stakeholders; The Environment Agency and Historic England, and also further consider the position of the council’s Design and Conservation Officers.

We are genuinely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The decision to request a withdrawal of this item was not made lightly, and we are very aware of the high level of local interest in this application. That is why it is vital that our Planning Committee members have all the information required to determine this major application.

The aim remains to have the application heard as soon as all relevant matters have been considered.

The remaining item on the agenda- The Haven/Sandbanks/Harbour Heights Hotel application (APP/17/00379/P) continues to be heard as expected.
