GCSE EXAM RESULTS DAY

GCSE exam grades are being awarded to school pupils across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) today, Thursday 22 August.

More than 4,000 Year 11 pupils from BCP’s secondary schools are receiving this much anticipated news on National Results Day.

Councillor Richard Burton, Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People, Education and Skills, BCP Council said: "Whether pupils are staying at school or moving on to college, training, or to an apprenticeship this is a really exciting and important time.

"This is the day that the eleven years of hard work by our students, schools and teachers pays off and all involved should celebrate.

“Our educational workforce do so much to prepare young people for the future and get the best grades possible for every individual.”

Cathi Hadley, Corporate Director for Children's Services, BCP Council said: “Every one of our pupils across BCP has done so well to get to this stage and we wish all our Year 11 pupils the best of luck for the future.

"We appreciate all the hard work and dedication that is required to successfully complete GCSE courses and pass exams.”
