Councillor Millie Earl, the Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, will answer questions from residents during a live online Question and Answer (Q&A) session next week.

The Q&A is on the topic of wellbeing and will include information about local support for those struggling with costs, initiatives to help people stay well this winter and an opportunity to learn more about how the council supports vulnerable adults.

The event will be broadcast on BCP Council’s social media channels from 12.15pm on Tuesday 4 November and the Leader will be joined by Councillor David Brown, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.

Leader of BCP Council, Councillor Millie Earl, said:

“We know that people who feel connected to their community report better mental and physical health; social participation and community engagement can reduce feelings of loneliness, lower stress levels, and even decrease the risk of certain long-term health conditions.

“As we approach the winter months, when many people may feel more isolated or vulnerable, community-based support becomes even more crucial. Our services are here to provide you with non-judgemental support, whatever your circumstances.

“This live Q&A session will cover how the council can help and offer advice and information on accessing wellbeing support from us and our partners across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

“As well as sharing our latest information, Cllr Brown and I are looking forward to hearing from you and answering your questions.”

Alongside the opportunity to ask questions live, residents can submit questions via the council’s a social media channels in advance. Questions relating to the theme will be prioritised.

The session will be available to watch later for those unable to tune in live.
