Councillor Vikki Slade, the Leader of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, will answer questions from residents during her first live Question and Answer (Q&A) session of the New Year.

The session will be broadcast on Thursday 18 January, from 12.30pm.

The session is open to questions from the public on any subject.

Councillor Slade said:

“This first Q&A of 2024 is the perfect opportunity to reflect on some of our achievements in 2023, whilst also hearing from residents about their priorities this year.

“Our continuing ambition is to put people at the heart of all our services, and I know from personal experience that the work done by our officers really makes a difference to people’s lives.

“I am starting the year by joining both our traffic enforcement and street cleaning teams as they’re out and about so I can see first-hand the fantastic job that they do and the challenges that they face, and I welcome questions about any of our services areas and the work we do.

“The future of Bournemouth town centre remains a priority for all of us and I’m also looking forward to answering questions on this and sharing some of the ideas and insights from November’s Bournemouth Town Centre Summit.”

Questions can be submitted in advance via: LiveQandA@bcpcouncil.gov.uk or through comments on BCP Council’s social media posts.

There will also be the opportunity for people to ask questions during the Q&A within the comments section and have them answered in real-time.

The session will be broadcast across the council’s main social media channels including on youtube.com/bcpcouncil and is available to watch later for those unable to tune in live.
