Red scattered firework in the night sky

Summer evenings are set to get spectacular once again with the return of evening firework displays in Bournemouth and Poole.

The free events get underway on 25 July, in Bournemouth, and 31 July in Poole.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council is funding 12 nights of fireworks - with weekly Thursday night displays in Poole alongside Friday night events in Bournemouth from the end of July.

The Poole Quay summer fireworks will deliver entertainment options with live music and family entertainment before the firework finale blasts into life at 10pm.

And the dazzling displays will return to Bournemouth’s coastline, just east of Bournemouth Pier, with the night sky set to illuminate from 10pm.

Cllr Andy Martin, Portfolio Holder for Customer, Communications & Culture at BCP Council, said: “Our weekly fireworks displays consistently prove to be some of the most popular events of the year across our coastline and this year promises to be no different.

“It is fantastic news for the community that these events are remaining in the calendar - providing a vital spark for local businesses.

“I encourage as many people as possible to enjoy what’s on offer and support our fantastic hospitality industry before viewing some spectacular fireworks.”
