UPDATE 2 May 2025: The Twin Sails Bridge, in Poole, has been reopened to the public after planned, routine maintenance.

Walkers, wheelers, and vehicles can now reuse the bridge with the timetable for lifting returning to normal, ahead of the long weekend.

The bridge was set to be closed between 6am on 28 April and 8pm on 4 May 2025, but reopened at 2pm on Friday 2 May.

As part of this annual maintenance, our team carried out a 5-yearly full structure inspection, electrical safety testing, and planned repairs.

 

UPDATE Wednesday 16 April 2025

Twin Sails Bridge, in Poole, will be closed to the public for planned, routine maintenance between 6am on 28 April and 8pm on 4 May 2025.

As part of this annual maintenance, our team will be carrying out a 5-yearly full structure inspection, electrical safety testing, and planned repairs.

There will be no access to Twin Sails for walkers, wheelers, and vehicles for the duration of the works and residents are advised to plan their routes accordingly; a revised lifting timetable will be in place for boats.
