Looking to kickstart the year feeling healthier, happier, and more connected? Thrive, the one-stop health and wellbeing event in Boscombe, is back for 2026 and is here to help you do just that.

Following last year’s success, BCP Council and the Digital Skills Hub are excited to welcome back Thrive for 2026 – and new this year, will be offering free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations on-site to keep you protected.

Whether you’re looking to improve your wellbeing, explore new training or career paths, or find volunteering opportunities, Thrive 2026 has something for you. It’s also a great chance to meet local organisations that support health, employment, and community initiatives.

The event takes place on Thursday, 29 January 2026, from 10am to 6pm at The Auger Collective (formerly Peacocks store) in the Sovereign Centre, Boscombe.

  • Health and Wellbeing Hub - Meet experts from Access to Wellbeing, LiveWell Dorset, Citizens Advice, Parks in Mind, BCHA, and more
  • Recruitment Zone - Your next job could be waiting for you!
  • Vaccines - Free flu and COVID-19 vaccines from 9am to 4pm by Dorset HealthCare. Check you are eligible here Community walk-in clinics – Stay Well Dorset
  • Free Health MOT - Blood pressure checks courtesy of Westbourne Rotary Club
  • Volunteering opportunities – find out about some organisations looking for volunteers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
  • Skills Workshops - CV writing and interview tips to boost your confidence
  • Free Travel - Collect a one-way bus ticket home from the Morebus stand, and Universal Credit claimants get free travel to the event
  • Refreshments - Enjoy a cuppa and a chat thanks to Westbourne Rotary Club.

Councillor David Brown, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at BCP Council, said: “We’re proud to support Thrive 2026, funded by BCP Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

“This event reflects our commitment to helping residents and strengthening local communities. By bringing health, wellbeing, and employment support together in one place, we’re making it easier for people to access the help they need to lead healthier, happier, and more connected lives.”

Kaoutar Addi, Project Lead at the Digital Skills Hub, added: “Last year’s Thrive event was a huge success, with hundreds of residents connecting to opportunities that made a real difference.

“Thrive 2026 builds on that momentum, whether you want to boost your wellbeing, explore training, find a job, or volunteer, you’ll meet people who can help on the day.”
