You can only register yourself to vote. You can’t register a family member, even if they live in the same property.
You can check (for free) if you're already on the electoral register by:
- completing our general enquiry form
- calling us on 01202 123 400
- emailing us at elections@bcpcouncil.gov.uk
How to register to vote
To register online you must visit GOV.UK.
You’ll be asked for your National Insurance number (but you can still register if you do not have one).
If you can’t register online, you can register by either:
- printing paper forms from the GOV.UK
- calling us on 01202 123 400
After you've registered
You’ll get a letter from us confirming that you’re registered, or asking you for more information.
Changes to your registration
Let us know about any changes for example if you move home or change your name. So we can make sure your details are correct on the electoral register.
