We are committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces community who live and work in our area. Our demonstrated commitment as well as being a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant has awarded us the honour of holding a Silver Employer Recognition Award status.

Silver award holders must meet a required set of criteria including proactively demonstrating that service personnel and the armed forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of recruiting and selection processes.

We are now actively working towards applying for a Gold status award and meeting the criteria. To find out about previous events held in support of the Armed Forces community, you can watch our clips.

Guide to support services and social clubs for veterans

Our guide has information about various sources of support, such as GP surgeries, breakfast clubs, and veterans’ associations. These services are universally accessible and do not require an assessment or eligibility criteria.
