BH Coastal Lottery Small Grants Scheme

The BH Coastal Lottery Small Grants Scheme offers funding to help small, local voluntary and community organisations deliver projects that benefit residents in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

The lottery supports grassroots groups which make a real difference in their communities, especially those with limited resources.

You can apply for a grant of up to £2,500.

What you can apply for

You can apply for funding to support community-led activities or services that:

• directly benefit people living in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
• address a clear and demonstrable local need
• are part of your organisation’s ongoing work - we do not usually fund one-off events
• are delivered by constituted voluntary and community organisations, either registered charities or constituted not-for-profit organisations - you must have a bank account in the name of the organisation and at least 2 unrelated signatories

Who can apply

We can fund your organisation or activity if:

• your organisation has an annual income of less than £60,000
• you are a constituted voluntary or community organisation
• you have not received a BH Coastal Lottery grant in the past 12 months
• your organisation is based in or delivering services to residents in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole
• you can show that your work meets a genuine need in the community

We welcome applications from a wide range of small, local groups, including charities, community interest companies, and other not-for-profit organisations if they meet the above criteria.

We do not fund:

• one-off events or activities with no lasting community benefit
• organisations that have already received a BH Coastal Lottery grant in the last 12 months
• projects that do not clearly benefit Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole residents
• organisations with an annual income over £60,000

Before applying, make sure you read the full eligibility criteria and make sure you submit all required documents with your application. 

When you apply for a Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole BH Coastal small grants, please make sure that all documents requested are included with your application.

BH Coastal Lottery is a weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in our area. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit our area and its residents.

Voluntary groups can also sign up to be a good cause.
