A-Level, BTec and Level 3 Apprenticeship students who have attended schools and colleges in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole will receive their results today.

This year group have faced a challenging journey from 2020 when their GCSE exams were cancelled. They began their post 16 studies under the shadow of lockdowns and negotiated year 12 and year 13 with many students repeatedly having to self-isolate and learn from home. Students that receive their results this year should be proud of their resilience and determination.

Councillor Nicola Greene, BCP Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, said:

"I would like to congratulate all pupils in the BCP Council area on their A Level, BTEC and applied course grades. We know Year 13 have worked very hard in challenging circumstances. This year group are the first to sit public exams since 2019 and every student that is receiving results today should be very proud of their achievement".

Cathi Hadley, BCP Council’s Corporate Director for Children's Services, said:

"I am sure there will be many celebrations across the BCP area today with students receiving their A Level, BTEC and Applied qualification results. This year group of students has overcome many challenges and should be proud of their achievements. I would like to reassure all students that council teams, schools and the College have staff ready to support you with decisions on your next steps. We wish you the very best of luck".

There will be students who have been awarded the grades they expected. Students who have missed out on grades or feel they need further support should contact their education setting immediately for help and advice. Schools and colleges across the BCP Council area have offered opportunities for students to collect results in person and will offer follow up advice clinics on a case-by-case basis.
