BCP Council are asking community groups and local associations to register their details with them to improve the connection with and understanding of our local communities.

We are continuing to find innovative ways to help our community feel connected to the work which we do. Ensuring that local community groups have the ability to tell us their thoughts and be consulted on the planning, development, and delivery of services is a key part of this mission.

Any community group in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is encouraged to sign up, from residents’ associations through to specialist interest groups. The list will be used to provide updates on funding opportunities, consultations and will offer these groups the chance to stay engaged with the latest council activities or other news which may be of interest to them.

Councillor Jane Kelly, Lead Member for Communities, said: "Engaging with our local community groups is a key priority for BCP Council and this is a chance for them to stay updated on exciting opportunities which they can get involved in".

"It is crucial that we grow our networks in order to reach out to our communities and ensure that they have access to the latest information and their voices are heard. We want to continue to give everyone across the conurbation a chance to inform council decisions and shape services in their local area".

Details of how to sign up can be found here: https://haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/community-groups-and-associations.
