Have your say on proposals to rebuild The Beach House, a café restaurant located on the popular beach of Mudeford Sandbank.

The original building was extensively fire damaged on 2 November 2018 to the extent that it was declared beyond repair. A decision was made to replace the building with the budget of just over £1million to be funded through a mix of an insurance pay-out and affordable borrowing.

Leader of BCP Council Cllr Vikki Slade said:

"Proposals are for a modern airy design, in keeping with this beautiful and unique beach location. We also want to prioritise affordable, innovative, sustainable technologies and practices in-line with our aspirations to address the global climate-change emergency."

Earlier in the year cabinet paused the scheme to allow further consultation. A planning application is currently live but will not be determined until after cabinet reviews the results of the consultation. This consultation has now commenced and will be available until midnight on 5 October.
