Christchurch and District Sports Council

Christchurch and District Sports Council is a federation of local sports clubs, interested parties such as Active Dorset and other stakeholders, including us.

The sports council’s key aim is to encourage and promote increased physical activity, while assessing present and future sports and recreation needs in the area.

Meetings are held twice yearly to exchange good practice, develop professionalism, drive local sports policy and consider applications from clubs and individuals for grants and funding.

The sports council’s aims and objectives are outlined in their constitution.

They have also created a safeguarding policy which helps ensure the safety and welfare of all young people, coaches and volunteers taking part in sport.
