BCP Homes how to get involved
We want residents to be involved in how your homes and communities are managed, maintained and improved and have the opportunity to get regular updates from us such as when work affects your home or neighbourhood.
You can tell us when we get things right and challenge us when you feel we can improve our services.
How to get involved
To get involved, you need to:
- be a BCP Homes tenant or leaseholder in Poole
- have some spare time to attend meetings, site visits or working groups
- be keen to understand more about the work we do
- work with us in a positive way for the benefit of all residents
Our resident involvement opportunities include:
- becoming a resident member of our board
- joining one of our 4 customer panels
- training to scrutinise our services through our resident-led scrutiny process
- getting involved in a working group
If you get involved, we will:
- listen to your views
- offer opportunities to train and develop new skills
- provide the opportunity to meet and share your experiences with other residents
- value the commitment of residents who volunteer with us
- offer the opportunity to apply for volunteer expenses as covered in our resident involvement volunteer expenses policy
Other ways to get involved
As well as our formal meetings, we have lots of other ways you can get involved:
- getting involved in social activities at our sheltered housing schemes
- planting, growing and sharing the produce from community gardens
- getting the support of local residents to apply for funding for neighbourhood improvements
- running your own community events or helping us to put something on in your area
